Frequently Asked Questions

Please look through our list of ‘frequently asked questions’ below to see if you can find an answer to any questions you may have. If you don’t see what you are looking for feel free to get in touch.

How much will the consultation process cost?

We offer this as a complimentary service. However, if we have to travel more than 20 miles to your location we will charge our standard mileage rate of 40 pence per mile for the total miles travelled over 20 in the round journey. It would be possible to conduct consultation at our premises or via Skype or telephone.

How does the consultation process work?

We can either visit the venue of your event or you can visit our workshop to discuss your desired floral designs. You can have as many consultation sessions as you need however only the first session is free of charge. Any additional consultation sessions will be charged at £30/hour in addition to mileage cost.

Can others accompany me at the consultation process?

Yes of course we would generally recommend an event coordinator or mother of the bride. Ideally not more than two people should attend the consultation process.

Are there any limitations to which flowers I can have?

Many flowers are available throughout the year. Certain varieties however are seasonal and depending on the time of your event you may wish to consider some options regarding your choice of flowers. We will be able to present you with a number of choices to obtain your desired style and the colour scheme of your preference.

How long will the flowers last?

We will order the flowers at the last possible moment to ensure maximum freshness and longevity. After delivery of flowers to our warehouse they will need to be conditioned for at least 24 hours so we will order them to be delivered 2-3 days before your event depending on the total number of displays we are designing for you. Bouquets will generally be made the morning of the wedding. Bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and head-dresses will generally last 2-3 days. Arrangements built using oasis will generally last up to 2 weeks.

Will I be able to transport or re-use certain arrangements?

Yes, you can. Some of our clients ask us to make church arrangements that can then be transported to the reception hall. Some of our corporate clients often re-use event arrangements in reception areas and meeting rooms.

Will you be able to transport some of the arrangements for us?

Yes we would, at additional cost to include mileage and labour.

How far are you willing to travel?

We are happy to travel to any location and even cover England and Wales if required. As a rule we will travel to within 20 miles radius for free and will only charge additional mileage over our base miles. We are happy to discuss this with you further and come to a mutually agreed arrangement.

Is there a price guide available?

The price very much depends on the style and size of the arrangements you desire given that we aim to provide you with an individual and bespoke service.

We have collated some sample designs in our catalogue with price range estimates to reflect the flowers that can be used and the optimal size of the arrangement. We will be able to share this with you during our consultation session.

Can I make last minute changes?

Once the flowers are ordered (generally a week before the event) it would be difficult to make changes to the colour scheme. However, as long as we use the flowers ordered we can discuss your desired changes and endeavor to incorporate them into the designs with minimal disruption and potential additional costs.

If on the other hand you are requiring additional arrangements, then we will be able to source some if not all of your desired flowers late in the process and incorporate any additional design sought.

Are you insured?

Yes we are, and would be happy to provide you with a copy of our insurance certificate should you require it.

Which areas of Scotland do you cover?

Our premises are located in Powmill between Dollar, Dunfermline and Kinross. We will cover Perth & Kinross, Fife, Clackmannanshire, West Lothian, Midlothian, East Lothian, Falkirk & Stirling. However, regardless of location we can discuss mutually acceptable travelling arrangements.
